We can care for many common conditions in our office. More advanced procedures, such as those described below, are performed in the Endoscopy Suite at Sturdy Memorial Hospital: 

  • Colonoscopy: An endoscopic exam wherein a colonoscope is used to detect changes or abnormalities in the large intestine, colon and rectum
  • Endoscopy: A procedure that requires the insertion of a long, thin tube with a tiny camera on its end to visually examine internal organs and tissues
  • Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) — A procedure that uses endoscopy and X-rays to diagnose and treat problems of the bile and pancreatic ducts
  • Endoscopic Mucosal Resection: An endoscopic procedure used to collect tissue for examination and remove cancerous and precancerous growths from the lining of the digestive tract
  • Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS): An exam performed with a special endoscope that uses ultrasound technology to produce detailed images of the lining and walls of the digestive tract, chest, pancreas, liver and lymph nodes
  • Bravo pH Testing: A procedure in which doctors attach a capsule to your esophagus to measure acid reflux from your stomach
