How do you approach care?
My approach to healthcare is focused on collaboration with patients to make a plan that they are comfortable with and understand. I aim to explain what is going on in simple terms as much as possible. My goal is always prevention, and if treatment is needed my preference is to try to treat without medications if possible. However I am also not one to shy away from medications if they are needed.
What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare and your specialty?
I have always loved science and human interaction. Medicine seemed like a natural fit once I realized the research bench wasn't for me. I was drawn to primary care because I like following my patients and their problems in the long term, and really getting to know my patients as people.
What do you find rewarding about your career?
I am constantly rewarded by the relationships I develop with my patients. It is amazing to actually make a difference in a patient's life. I also love that every day is different, and never dull.
Why did you choose to join Sturdy Health?
I lived in Attleboro for eight years before I started practicing here. I chose to move my practice to Sturdy Health to help take care of my own community and neighbors. Also, I like how Sturdy Health is not a giant faceless organization.
What are your personal interests?
I spend most of my time with my three school aged daughters, my dog, and my wife who is also in health care. When I have time I like to swim and bike. I also like to cook.
