Dr. Jayne Pincus is an internal medicine physician at Sturdy Health Primary & Specialty Care - O'Neil. Dr. Pincus majored in biochemistry in college and continued this area of study into graduate school. Her initial intention was to do research. Her PhD thesis involved the effects of certain pesticides on an important protein in the body. This further sparked her interest in attending medical school. Ultimately, Dr. Pincus realized that taking care of people was much more interesting and fit her natural talents more than research. After over 30 years of medical practice, this remains true.

Dr. Pincus finds that educating patients about health issues is very rewarding. She takes the time to understand her patients' medical problems, as it allows them to take better care of themselves and decreases their anxieties surrounding their health issues.

At an appointment with Dr. Pincus, patients are encouraged to come prepared with a list of their questions and concerns as well as a complete, detailed list of their medications and supplements. Patients can expect her to listen to them, address their concerns and formulate a plan to deal with any problems. Her goal is to have every patient leave the office feeling physically and/or emotionally better.

Dr. Pincus is new to the area having moved from Connecticut to be closer to family. She is an avid reader and is looking forward to being involved in activities at the local libraries.
