How do you approach care?
I bring an empathic approach to each patient. I imagine one of my family members in their situation and think, "How would I want my family to be treated?" I try to listen to my patients’ goals and do all that is in my power to help them achieve those goals.
What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare and your specialty?
Since I was younger, I have always enjoyed helping others whether it was participating in Best Buddies, Special Olympics, or even helping to care for my family members. Now, as an occupational therapist, I am able to help my patients, who come to me with a wide variety of challenges and improve their quality of life.
Why did you choose to join Sturdy Health?
I chose Sturdy Health because I want to take the knowledge and skills I have and use it to help and heal my local community. I am excited to get more involved in community-based programs to improve the overall health and wellness of others.
What are your personal interests?
Anyone who knows me or my family, knows our love and passion for the game of basketball. I also enjoy staying active by hiking, taking hot yoga classes, and going on walks with my fiancé and our rescue dog Winnie.
