Dania DeGrace, MD is an orthopedist specializing in wrist and hand injuries at Sturdy Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Attleboro, Massachusetts. Dr. DeGrace received her Doctor of Medicine from Yale University School of Medicine and completed her residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Program. She completed a fellowship in hand surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.

Dr. DeGrace has a special interest in operative and nonoperative management of multiple wrist and hand conditions. Nonoperative management may consist of steroid injections, splints, occupational therapy, and other modalities. Conditions she treats include:

  • Nerve disorders (carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, nerve injury)
  • Tendon disorders (tendinitis, trigger fingers, tendon overuse, tendon laceration)
  • Bone and joint disorders (arthritis, fractures, dislocations, sprains, instability)
  • Special problems (Dupuytren’s disease, ganglion cysts, tumors)

How do you approach care?

I strongly believe that patient care and treatment plans must be individually tailored to the patient and their priorities. I take special care to ensure that patients understand their options so that they feel confident about making informed decisions with regards to their health.

What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare and your specialty?

The people that come to the orthopedic office are my inspiration. Whether they arrive with a chronic problem, new injury, or another concern, I feel privileged to help people maximize their function, recover from injury, and achieve their healthcare goals.

What are your personal interests?
