How do you approach care?
My approach to care can be very dynamic. I combine concepts in manual care along with focused exercise programs in an effort to maximize outcomes. Physical therapy is collaborative care. Our role is to teach you how to care for yourself. I embrace this role as a teacher and try to form a good relationship with my patients to help them overcome their illness or injury.
What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare and your specialty?
I have always had a strong desire to help people and physical therapy provided me with that approach. I also enjoy sports and caring for the athletic population which I did for many years as an athletic trainer in conjunction with my role as a physical therapist.
Why did you choose to join Sturdy Health?
I have been working for Sturdy Health for nearly 12 years now. I came here as I was drawn to the team approach of the staff and physicians. I have worked for several other hospitals and private care facilities but none have had the collaborative approach as here at Sturdy Health.
What are your personal interests?
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, children and dog, whether at home or out in nature.
