How do you approach care?
Getting to know my patients and what their long-term goals are is an essential step in creating productive yet meaningful relationships. I truly believe this allows for more comprehensive care. Each visit I strive to focus on providing the most up-to-date and evidence-based information necessary for patients to make the best-informed decisions in line with their values. I hope each visit I leave my patients feeling empowered to make their health a priority.
What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare and your specialty?
I chose to work in primary care as it continues to be an ever-changing, diverse, and growing field. There are always opportunities to improve and learn on a daily basis. My main inspiration in pursuing a career in healthcare stemmed in part from losing my father to cancer at a very young age. Ever since, I have always felt dedicated to helping others just as the many doctors, nurses, and other staff did for my family. I always strive to create a sense of comfort when I meet my patients.
Why did you choose to join Sturdy Health?
The main reason I chose Sturdy Health was the overwhelming sense of community and family. Being a close-knit center of providers allows for dedicated and focused patient-centered care, but more importantly, continuity of care among specialties diversifies us from other institutions.
What are your personal interests?
I enjoy playing tennis, summers in Rhode Island, cooking, traveling, Sunday dinners with family, and house projects with my husband.
