Jennifer LaCourse, FNP-BC is a nurse practitioner and family medicine provider at Sturdy Health Primary & Specialty Care - Plainville. Jennifer received her Master of Science – Nursing from Boston College - Connell School of Nursing in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Pre-Med from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.

How do you approach care?
I take the time to listen to my patients, then use their experiences and mine to come up with a plan along with my patient to achieve a common goal. I have been seeing some of my patients for almost 15 years, which definitely helps!
What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare and your specialty?
I love family practice because I grow as my patients grow (literally and figuratively!) and I get to see numerous members of the same family and follow their care over the years.
Why did you choose to join Sturdy Health?
Sturdy Health is local and more intimate than some of the bigger hospital networks. Most of us all know each other one way or another!
What are your personal interests?
I enjoy running (my husband and I met in a running group in 2011), swimming, hiking...nothing competitively, just for fun and health...and a quick escape for "me time!" When I am not working and having solo workout time, I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes my husband and two girls (born 2015 and 2017), and cat Jasmine and dog, Bella. We have started to travel more now that the kids are getting older. Taking them to Disney Feb 2024!
