How do you approach care?
I like to work together with patients to arrive at care decisions they feel are right for them. To help with that, I try to listen to my patients' concerns, translate medical terminology into language that makes sense to patients, and explain the science behind different illnesses and treatments.
What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare and your specialty?
I became interested in science and medicine in elementary school. I was fascinated not only by normal body system functions, but also what happened when things went wrong. In medical school I was introduced to the specialty of family medicine, whose philosophy really resonated with me. Being a family physician allows me to care for patients of all ages and their family members and ensures that every day in practice is interesting and varied!
Why did you choose to join Sturdy Health?
I grew up in Massachusetts near two small community hospitals that provided great care for residents in our community. Sturdy Health has a long tradition of both caring for and caring about people who live and work in the greater Attleboro area, and it means a lot to me to be a part of that history.
What are your personal interests?
I enjoy tap dancing, visiting with family, and caring for our newest family members, gerbils Lavender and Rose.
