I like to establish a rapport with my patients and spend time educating my patients about their rehab. I find that adding an educational component to my care helps patients to find motivation to return and comply with their home exercises.
What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare and your specialty?
When I was in college, I was rehabbed for a minor knee injury by my athletic trainer. I thought that I wanted to become an athletic trainer at that time because I loved being active and playing sports, and I always wanted a career where I could help people. Thankfully, he convinced me that I would be a good fit for physical therapy and upon doing some research I really liked the idea of helping people get back to sports, but also get back to their less-intense hobbies and activities!
Why did you choose to join Sturdy Health?
I wanted to work for a non-profit community health network. I am happy to be a part of Sturdy Health as it continues to grow!
What are your personal interests?
I love to have fun outside of work. I spend my summers on the golf course and my winters on the slopes, and all year long my life is entertained by my two crazy Australian Shepherds.
