Jessica Cristi is a pediatric and primary care practitioner at Sturdy Health Pediatrics - North Main Street in Attleboro, Massachusetts. She holds advanced degrees in nursing, including a Master of Science in nursing from Regis College, an Associate of Science in nursing from Community College of Rhode Island, Bachelor of Arts in business management from Bridgewater State College.

How do you approach care?
I enjoy getting to know patients and hearing the whole story of what brings them to see us! Working with children, it’s often hard to assess them. I find it when I engage with them and either demonstrate on mom, dad or sibling what I’m going to assess, it helps to tell a story while I’m trying to look and listen! I try to make the visit as enjoyable as possible and really try to let them know when coming to the doctors office, our number one priority is to either make them feel better or keep them on the right track to living a healthy lifestyle!
What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare and your specialty?
After having my son, I landed in the ICU and had two AMAZING nurses take care of me, and that was when I started thinking of a career change from retail management! Three years into my career I started working in pediatrics. After about three months of working at an outpatient primary care office, I knew I wanted to do more, so I decided to go back to school to obtain my Master of Science Degree for my new role as a pediatric nurse practitioner!
Why did you choose to join Sturdy Health?
I worked for Sturdy Health before as a medical-surgical nurse. I enjoyed working at Sturdy Health but med-surg nursing was not for me. But I do not regret my experience that I gained from it! I am happy to be back to work with this wonderful community.
What are your personal interests?
Every morning before work I enjoy my 5 am hour at Orange Theory Fitness. It has been built into my routine for the last 7 years! Besides that I enjoy hiking/walking with my 15-year-old son, husband, and our yellow lab, Scout! We love to travel to our beach destination, Hilton Head, every summer and then usually plan a hiking trip in October. Last year we went to Zion National Park! Watching my son play soccer is a favorite thing to do as well!
