How do you approach care?
I am a very big proponent of shared decision making. There are multiple ways to approach any issue, and I feel it is my responsibility to lay these options out to the patient, discuss the pros and cons of each, and together decide upon the best course of treatment.
What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare and your specialty?
I decided I wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon early on in high school. It stemmed primarily from experiencing first hand how big of an impact a thoughtful physician can have on how a person deals with a difficult injury or a painful condition. I enjoy joint replacement and trauma in particular because it is amazing to see how well patients can do with even the most complex issues.
Why did you choose to join Sturdy Health?
I came to Sturdy Health because of the amazing teamwork, dedication, and experience the staff has, as well as its strong connection to the surrounding community. I am very excited about the future of Sturdy Health as we continue to be able to offer patients diverse treatment options and the most up-to-date care.
What are your personal interests?
I enjoy exercising, fishing, snowboarding, going on hikes with our dog Moose, trying new places to eat, and cheering on the local Boston sports teams!
