How do you approach care?
I believe in empowering the individual and family I'm working with to develop the best personalized care plan. This means using the most recent and relevant guideline-recommended treatments to treat their specific disease, while also developing a supportive care strategy based on each individual's needs, goals and values.
What inspired you to pursue a career in healthcare and your specialty?
While no one in my family is in medicine, everyone was committed to helping others and serving the community. Becoming a physician seemed like an obvious way to contribute to that legacy. I chose to enter hematology and oncology because I appreciate how the care team helps the patient and caregivers navigate the complex cancer landscape on an emotional and physical level.
What do you find rewarding about your career?
Most patients and caregivers are coming to our practice at a very challenging time. To be trusted with the opportunity to help and support them is an incredible privilege.
Why did you choose to join Sturdy Health?
During my interview experience at Sturdy Health, I was really impressed by how dedicated everyone was to serving the community. It was not just lip-service, it is a healthcare organization that genuinely wants to provide the best possible care and is consistently looking for ways to expand on the services that are being offered. It was an opportunity to join a group of intelligent and inspiring people who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others.
How do you spend free time?
I love being with my family and exploring all of the amazing things New England has to offer. My wife and I have twin toddlers and two dogs, so we are always busy! A weekend typically involves cheering on our favorite teams, activities (biking, hiking, soccer, golf) or a quick trip to visit our family and friends.
